Conservative website uses royal wedding to attack same-sex marriage
So I guess why the Freepers were overwhelmingly cheering on the British royal wedding. Because it helps their agenda. Terry Krepel reports at ConWebBlog based on the CNSNews.com article "Bishop at Royal Wedding: Marriage For ‘Man and Woman'" by Penny Starr:

An April 29 CNS article by Penny Starr on the royal wedding focuses how the bishop addressed the couple and wedding guests by stating that "marriage is intended to be a way in which man and woman help each other to become what God meant each one to be, their deepest and truest selves." Starr then referenced "a 9-page statement on the church’s position on marriage that includes a reference to the union as between a man and a woman" and a 2008 invesigation into "the 'marriage' of two homosexual priests in one of London’s oldest churches."

And the first comment I saw in the comments section really reflects on the audience that CNSNews.com targets:

Can anyone imagine the state of the world when the One Man One Woman concept is trashed in favor of ideas such as the "Royal Sodomites", the "Royal Homosexuals" or the "Royal Queers?" Homo's, including Homo Depot's sins, were not created by God but were committed, engendered, learned and established or invented by humans in direct opposition to God's Word. Man's
disobedience to his Creator does not go unpunished. Standby for more personal strife, Aids, Acts of God and eventually a Final Day of Judgment.

CNSNews.com, by the way, was founded by Brent Bozell, who also founded the Media Research Center.

1. The royal family does appear to be a heterosexist institution.
How would lesbian or gay royal family members be treated? What about their marriages?

2. I moved to the UK recently from the US
It's a different world here, publicly, at least, they'd probably be accepting of them, but I doubt the Church of England would be compelled to perform a same-sex wedding for them.
