CON ALERT! Miss America 2011 to attend Patrick Henry College, thinking of political career

Via Hemant Mehta's "Friendly Atheist" blog: turns out that Teresa Scanlan, Miss Nebraska 2011 and the winner of the Miss America pageant, is a home-schooled conservative Christian who plans on attending Patrick Henry College this fall and run for Congress from her home state. According to the linked New York magazine profile, the college is "a small liberal-arts school in Purcellville, Virginia, founded in 2000 by a Christian home-schooling activist." This is the fool who said to millions of sheeple on national television that WikiLeaks was "based on espionage." And SHE along with other empty, unintelligent, submissive, unoriginal women in addition to Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, Paris Hilton, Nicki Minaj, and Snooki gets to be the face of America?

These pageant winners have no shame. Carrie Prejean has yet to step away from her ill-informed words about same-sex marriage. And we've got enough crooks and dummies in Congress right now. Unless she reaches an epiphany in politics/religion, she's helping devolve this great nation into an idiocracy (I learned that word on DU, but have yet to see the movie).

2. I demand a cage death match between Miss America and Miss USA

Home-schooled conservative Christian, Patrick-Henry-college-headed Miss America and pro-evolution-teaching Miss USA both enter. Only one comes out.
Or make it a chess game. Then my money's definitely on Miss USA.
