Herman Cain steps up attacks on Occupy Wall Street protests
By James Oliphant Washington Bureau

October 9, 2011, 9:21 a.m.
Republican presidential contender Herman Cain amplified his criticism Sunday of the growing Occupy Wall Street movement, calling the protesters “jealous’ Americans who "play the victim card” and want to “take somebody else’s” Cadillac.

Cain’s remarks, on CBS’ "Face the Nation," came amidst an escalating war of words between Republicans and Democrats over the merits of the movement, which has spread from New York to other cities across the nation, including Washington and Los Angeles ...

1. They're giving cadillacs away?
Where is the line? A cadillac is so much better than a pony!

3. If Cain and the Republic Party had their way, Cadillac would be out of business
and all of GM and Chrysler.

4. Sounds like a former KC Fed chairman, and 1%er, afraid for his wealth
instead of being afraid of the direction of this country under his 'party's' policies.

12. Total BS
Total BS, as expected. This Occupy Movement is the best thing that has taken place in a long time and is way overdue. I hope it grows and brings about a movement that will bring real change. Wall Street, corporations and the whole military-industrial complex have been running things for too long. We the people want money for education, jobs and the environment, not corporations and the never ending war machine. I had a vehicle magnet on my van that read "Vote For Change - Obama '08." Well the change has not come fast enough and the people are taking it into their own hands. I intend to support Obama in 2012 but I am excited about the Occupy movement!

14. This Really Pisses me Off!
Yeah, if you're not one of the 1% it is because you're lazy. Get back to work and shut up. All of these greedy corporations have laid off everyone they can and force the people they keep to absolutely work their asses off because they are scared to death for the welfare of their families. This is total BS. I really want to see this movement grow into something very significant. I think we have have a chance for real change right now in this country and we may not have it again for a long time.

16. Well, thet'll go over real well.
It's like saying that a molested child is playing the victim card.

Holy crap that was a stupid thing to say.

But he too is bought and paid for by the corporations.

But I personally don't believe OWS will bring any real change. If it was a hundred million people storming the castles and ransacking everything in sight, then there'd be real change, not just a few hundred or a thousand here and there.

The only way to bring change is to get them where it hurts. They will not listen to protests in any way shape or form, because it is all about the money, and they ahve too much interest in getting and hoarding the money all form themselves.

Shameful

Some days I really want to become a Socialist. And i would too, if I didn't believe in individual right to own property.

That's the only thing holding me back.
