White House Leak? NO, IT WAS DICK CHENEY!!
Regarding the Wilson intelligence scandal:

We need to realize that EVERYTHING Bush, Novak, and McClellan are SAYING is absolutely true. But everything they're TELLING US is a lie. We have to remember to listen carefully to the exact words.

Novak originally said that the information about Wilson's wife came from, "two senior administration officials." THIS IS TRUE.

Novak also says that, "Nobody in the Bush administration called me to leak this." THIS IS ALSO TRUE.

There is ONE MAN in the world who is BOTH a senior administration official, and does not release information from the administration (from the White House).

There is ONE MAN in the world who invested his reputation and resources to the Niger yellowcake story, more than any other.

There was ONE MAN in the world who knew of Wilson's trip to Niger as well as he knew about the identity of Wilson's wife.

THE MAN'S NAME IS **DICK CHENEY**.

The yellowcake story was Cheney's baby.

Joseph Wilson killed Dick Cheney's baby.

So, when Scott McClellan talks about how "ridiculous" it is that the leak could have come out of Karl Rove, it's because he knows this statement to be true. Rove IS NOT the one who ORIGINALLY released this information. There is no way this could have been the case because there's really no scenario that would explain how Rove could legitimately be in possession of this information. But Rove is a part of the conspiracy, all the same.

The plan was for Cheney & Novak to make the info about Wilson's wife "common knowledge around Washington." That was the first wave of the attack. The second wave was initiated when Cheney told Rove that he (Cheney or his office) had put Wilson's wife's identity in print, and that she, and her identity, were now, "FAIR GAME." The rest was left to Rove. Rove, or people working with Rove, then made the FAIR GAME phone calls to the media, knowing that Cheney & Novak had laid the groundwork to cover their asses (legally) by making the secret information, "common knowledge around Washington."

The White House is trying to convince us that the Novak disclosure and the "FAIR GAME" phone calls were taking place as one continuous event, but they were not. The Novak crimes (disclosures) were designed to set up the FAIR GAME phone calls from Rove. This was a two-point plan. Novak is working with the White House on this. He is knowingly trying to mislead any would-be investigations and may eventually go down for this obvious obstruction (at least).

Scott McClellan completed the second wave on Wednesday. When asked to make a distinction between disclosing the identity of a covert CIA operative and discussing it after it is published, McClellan said, "That is such a broad question, about is it OK to discuss news articles," he said. "I mean, news articles are discussed all the time."

So, is there one top-level White House official whose email, phone records, etc. ARE NOT being protected by orders of the Justice Department? Is there one top-level White House official who does not work in the White House and whose staff is not under evidence protection orders or legal scrutiny? Is Cheney watching and laughing?

Cheney is the only top level White House official who DID NOT go before cameras this week to talk about everything he doesn't know. Dick Cheney won't be seen any time soon.

When they (McClellan & co.) say, "White House," they're actually saying, "THE PLACE WHERE CHENEY IS NOT." Notice how often they use the terminology "White House." And when Novak uses the word "identity," in talking about Valerie Plame, he's not talking about her job at the CIA, he's talking about her "identity" as Wilson's wife. It's a word game. The words are true; the message is a lie.

LISTEN TO THE WORDS THEY USE.

Bye Dick.

1. Very Interesting.
How did Cheney know that Wilson's wife was CIA? Who do you think actually called the reporters? I hope Novak goes down for this as well as Cheney or Rove or both.

4. I, and others, agree
My analysis of events has also lead me to conclude the same.

It was Dick Cheney who called for someone to be sent to Africa to check his "smoking cake" out - and the person recommended -- by Valerie Plame, was Wilson. Cheney was aware of all of these facts.

But Dick didn't like what Wilson had to say, and dismissed his negative report. And when Wilson called the administration to task by publically discounting the yellow cake allegation -- Dick set out to neutralize him in very strong-armed fashion. That's opinion. Here's speculation: Was Plame being punished as well? As a spy specializing in WMDs, maybe she wasn't telling Dick what he wanted, and he saw an opportunity to get two spies with one stone.

Justin Raimondo of AntiWar.com writes today
"MSNBC'S Buchanan & Press scored a major scoop on Wednesday, all but unmasking the high government official who "outed" a CIA operative via a July 14 column by Robert Novak. Larry Johnson, a former CIA analyst who worked with Valerie Plame, the reported agent, all but identified "Scooter" Libby as the government official who outed her – and at least one other in the Vice President's office.

Who is "Scooter" Libby?

He's the nexus of the neocon network in Washington, Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff, and assistant to the President, whose office is the operational nerve center of the War Party. It is Libby and Cheney who made repeated trips to the CIA, pressuring them to accept tall tales of Al Qaeda connections and assorted "weapons of mass destruction" supposedly lurking in Baghdad – including the Niger-uranium yellowcake "evidence" that Iraq had acquired fissionable material for a nuclear weapon."

I have been predicting Cheney will resign for a couple of months. I also predict that he will be replaced on the ticket by Condi Rice, in an almost incredibly cynical ploy to win over black and women voters by giving them an opportunity to vote for a first in American history -- a black woman VP.

5. I like the way you think!
And your ideas on how Dick and Karl cooked this up. This was very eloquent.

What could be Cheney's motive?

On July 6th, Wilson spoke out that the Iraqi attempt to buy Nigerian Uranium was false. The allegation was that the office of the Vice President wanted confirmation on that particular charge because the facts were weak and could not substantiate that Iraq was trying to develop an atomic arsenal.

Wilson’s claim undermined the notion that Iraq was atomic and ready to deploy it on the US with an UAV or with a hand off to their Al-Queada friends. Thus undermining one the most popular reasons for pre-emptive strike “We can’t wait for the smoking gun because it will take shape of the Mushroom cloud”…

Wilson’s article put that fantasy to rest. But somehow that became the “16 words that the President used in the SOTU.”

So why was Valerie’s and job description name made public? To discredit the notion that the results of Wilson’s report never made it to the Administration. Or the fact that the Vice Presidents Office asked for clarification on dubious intelligence, ie that Iraq attempted to buy Uranium form Niger, and was notified that the claim proved to be false. Yet, those 16 word still showed up in the SOTU. The idea was floated that the reason Wilson was chosen was nepotism, not withstanding that he had been in the Foreign Service since 1970’s.

Cheney and Staff had been over at the CIA trying to intimidate analysts into making reports on WMD's favorable to the Administration's line.

I find it plausible the Valerie Plame could have briefed Cheney or his staff prior to the war. It's possible that her information was contrary to what they wanted. They would have remembered that and after Wilson's article on his findings in Niger they could have had the idea to discredit him by outing the wife.

Here’s another thread on Cheney’s involement:

6. "What was cheney's motive?" Not his, Poppy's

I think that Poppy is engineering this.

Almost the first clip shown once this broke the other day was Poppy being all firey and talking about how leaking names of CIA is just about the worst crime in the world.

Remeber cheney on "Meet the Press" a couple of weeks ago?
He's sticking with the same old WMD story then aWol actually said otherwise later that week thus distancing himself from his unca dick.

The no-bid contracts, halliburton stuff has been getting more mainstream press than it ever has. Even ordinary folks have started to hear about it now.

Poppy has been hanging out in Russia with Putin.
Putin comes to the US to visit the bushes.

Pickles gets sent to Russia for the lovefest.
All within the space of a few weeks.

Is Poppy trying to get dick tossed because he has too much influence on his boy?
Is it a case of the bushies are not loyal to *anyone*, even those closest to their plots?

I don't know what it adds up to but it sure adds up to
*something*!

7. Remeber in July...
Cheney was saying he never saw a report from the CIA regarding the Niger Yellow Cake or the the fact finding results on the the Italian Itelligence about it.

Around July 8th, the CIA let it be known that they sent the report to the Office of the Vice President. So it would only seem natural from what we know about the man to strike back. Two birds and all that...
