White House Frantically Covering Tracks on "Mission Accomplished"
Edited on Tue Oct-28-03 06:32 PM by VaLabor
on edit: Nevermind.

There was apparently a screw-up on the html links.

Proper link is:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/06/20030605-1.html

But Bush does say:

I am happy to see you, an so are the long-suffering people of Iraq. America sent you on a mission to remove a grave threat and to liberate an oppressed people, and that mission has been accomplished. (Applause.)

(Funny how he uses mission accomplished in Qatar and disavows it on the aircraft carrier.)
