When will the violence come?
Whenever a group has its worldview challenged, one could say, to the point of that worldview collapsing, that group sometimes explodes in violence to defend that view.Does it look like there will be an explosion of violence from the right in the near future (such as a Kent State redux)?

1. I wouldn't be surprised........I'm watching and waiting...
Nor would I be surprised to hear a "knocking on my door" by jack booted thugs one of these days.

I've already heard weird sounds on my telephone; sounds unlike any I've ever heard before. Soooooo, we'll see.

2. I suspect when the election doesn't go their way.
Things could get nasty when their King* is dethroned.

3. The "election" will go the Junta's way
but the problem will be the massive disparity between what the electorate will know it voted and what the Diebold and ES&S machines will say.

The greater the credibility gap, the more likely will unrest occur. It could get serious, but I have no doubt Ashcroft already has his dissidents' camps ready for business in Alaska and the media whores will suppress news of the bloodshed and deaths.

10. Jay, for clarity, I was referring my "yep" to the part about Ashcroft and
cia blah blah..."holding" places around the country for "dissenters and terra ists"...not about the voting. Peace

5. I hope we are a little better than that.
But I am really shocked it has not happened before now. Have half the country sure they are right, God on their side and armed to the teeth. We are just asking for it.

8. they know they're wrong...
and despite what the neocons have done, there is a 'constitution 'and violating it blatantly...no way! unlike argentina or south africa etc, the rightwingnuts suspect they may be named in any investigation....it hamstrings them., violating US constitution. Anyone thinks the heavily armed racist bullyboy thugs are brave men....well you've never seen them cry (lol)

9. Broken Glass Night
They've already begun shadowing appearances by Richard Clarke and John Kerry. They'll be a lot easier to pick out in the crowd when their brown shirts are delivered. (Haliburton got the contract!!!)

11. This seems a bit arrogant to me
I definitely don't think now is the time to be sitting back and getting all confident about how the right's fairy-tale ride is falling apart. Have you completely forgotten the Patriot Act?

"to the point of that worldview collapsing"

Their world view is not collapsing, they are taking control of this country, and to sit back idle and laugh about how the right is falling apart really disgusts me.
