We might be in serious trouble...
I just found this story at rense, who has been more and more reliable as of late.
http://www.rense.com/general52/bsei.htm
<snip>

1. Did the famous 'pretzel' dive and resulting bruise have anything to do with a 'seizure'?

2. If Bush had one 'seizure' who is to say there won't be (weren't?) more?

3. Could 'seizure' be a polite way of saying TIA or 'mini-stroke'? Such events often leave some measure of damage...depending on which portion of the brain was affected. Further, TIAs, once begun, have a habit of continuing...building up to a major stroke in many cases.

<end snip>

This is a story you need to read. It also touches on the continuing drug use of our Commander in THEIF.

5. Except...
we know for certain that W is a coke addict. (Ask anybody in NA, once you are an addict you are always an addict, but you might be sober.)

And you know that he could get unlimited free cocaine in his position. To an addict that would be hard to resist. Also, such damage could result from coke use years in the past.

8. A long time ago I read that
it's more common than people realize for someone to have an isolated seizure. It could happen just once or twice in a lifetime, and be sufficiently mild that it goes unrecognized. It's always possible that's what happened with W.

9. seize the moment
I’ve suspected that W has a seizure disorder since the infamous "fool-me-once …. can’t-get-fooled-again" incident.

I grew up with a sibling who has had a seizure disorder since early childhood. More recently, my beloved dog had a seizure disorder the last 7 years of her life. Through this experience, I developed seizure radar. This is not a far-fetched notion because dogs are now being trained to alert their humans to an upcoming (human) seizure.

When I saw W’s fool me performance, my seizure alarm went off, big time. A seizure disorder would certainly explain a lot of W’s strange behavior from the pretzel attack to a possible reason he stopped flying in the TANG.

Furthermore, stress can precipitate a seizure. W’s dosage may be increased before he does something like a press conference, which may explain why he has appeared "drugged" or "drunk" at stressful public appearances.

Strictly anecdotal, my sibling has always adhered to a strict schedule (just like W) as a stress modifier.

10. I have to disagree
None of Bush's episodes seemed to stand out as "seizure moments" to me.

He never really loses coherence for long enough to indicate a seizure. Usually he just shuts down for a second or two, and struggles through an answer. This seems more to me like a very stupid person trying to find an acceptable answer than someone having a seizure.

I think most of the "damage" that could explain Bush's odd behavior is a result of his adolescence, his recurring alcoholism and drug usage, and just his sheer stupidity.

I had seizures for years, and I was never as incoherent as Bush is.

15. damage done
and I am confident that I drank and used at least as heavily and persistently than bush, and yet do not share the cognitive difficulties he sometimes exhibits.

There's something more going on here than dubya being a wet-brain burnout, IMO.
