Prediction: Info Gained From Iraqi Torture Leads To OBL's Capture

Yep, that's the ticket!

bushco has OBL on ice. Things are going bad in Iraq. The solution? Haul out OBL and hit the media with this mantra: like it or not, we were only able to capture OBL through info we gained through the vigorous interrogation of prisoners in Iraq. Call it abuse if you will, but would you rather have OBL running free?

This will amount to about 4.5 months' worth of debate and distraction - "Sen Kerry, OBL was caught via info gained through abusing prisoners. What say you?"

Count on it.

The surviving with dialysis in caves part sounds implausible, assuming dialysis is really needed to sustain OBL.

The making tapes part (by OBL) sounds plausible.

The faking tapes part (by US gov't) also seems plausible.

In the face of these conflicting plausibilities, I think the tapes make it more likley that OBL has not been captured because I don't think the US government would fool around with fake tapes if they had OBL is custody. To explain, faked tapes always leave open the possibility that the fakery would be detected at some later time. I don't think that people clever enough to make (hard-to-detect) fake tapes would want to take this kind of risk if OBL was in custody already.
