John Edward Kerns is running for the NH State house...again. Previously he served 2 years in the NH state House where he was proud to be “…shouting out the Republican platform”. In February (2004) he resigned but vowed he would return.
Why did he resign?
Because he represented Bedford, but lived in Dover?
His run-in with the Dover School Board?
His angry voice-mails back to them?
That thing with the Ethics Committee over using his position as a member of the House for personal gain?
Or was it those nasty, bounced,
personal checks - with
State of New Hampshire written on them - he wrote?
Was it because the Ethics Committee voted to recommend the House expel his sorry ass?
He resigned before a vote on his expulsion could be taken. Two months after he resigned in April, Kerns pleaded guilty to
four charges of issuing bad checks and one for unsworn falsification, which stemmed from what police said was a lie in a motion in Strafford County Superior Court.
Last week, Kerns filed for one of the six House seats representing Bedford.
By the way,
Kerns is 24!
