Very interesting post I saw on Slahsdot:

Hey I voted for Texas too, but Dimson is not a Texan.

He was born about 20 miles from me, in New Haven, CT. Until six months ago, he was the ONLY president at the White House site that did not give his place of birth.

He was forced to after a massive letter writing campaign by of all people, the people of Texas. LOL. Must have been quite a shock, but it shows the intellect we're dealing with.

He still is the only president to not list his place of birth on the informational sidebar on his bio page.

He was high school educated in Massachusetts (Phillips Academy, sometimes called Andover.) He got his undergrad degree at Yale, again in New Haven, CT. He got his MBA at Harvard, in Massachusetts.

His parents live in Maine. So, Bush is as Northeastern as John Kerry, having spent half his life partying in the Northeast, no small feat.

He bought that ranch in Crawford in 2000, while running for president, a fact not that many people know.

I always laugh when neocons call Hillary a "carpetbagger" when Bush is the champion carpetbagger of all time.

2. His accent is fake
I've always thought his accent was fake. After spending years teaching in the FL panhandle and in GA, I found that the southern style has a certain wit and charm, plus they have a unique grammar compared to Yankees. Bush has none of those traits. He just throws out a fake accent now and then. His farm is fake, too. He's a fucking fake.

6. Is that true?
Doesn't surprise me at all, but where did you get the info? I'd like to shove it in some republicans' faces.

A couple of months back, there was this video on the White House website of Bush giving a tour of the oval office. I remember laughing pretty hard when this eastern boy pointed at paintings of Texas he'd hung on the wall and saying "Texas is my home, this office is just a loan from the public, but Texas is where my heart is and were I'll go back". Maybe sooner than you think, eh?

More conservatives should know this. As another born in Texas Texan I think it's insulting how he plays people into thinking he's some good ol' southern boy everyone can trust.

7. didn't list his birthplace in "Who's Who in America" either ...
All the living Presidents and First Ladies do!

Interestingly, he got into trouble during his (failed) Congressional bid in the 1970s, for putting out a leaflet which implied (using poor grammer) that he was both born AND raised in Midland. His opponent called him on it, and Georgie backed down.

10. wonder why the radio heads don't talk about this fact ALL day?
I think John Kerry should ask this question during a debate, just right out of the blue. "George, where exactly where you born, because I believe you've not only mislead Americans you've mislead them to believe you're a Texan."

11. He is not a human, but he plays at being one.
But he is certainly not a Texian.
From where I come from, a person is either alright, or he "won't do ".
and that's it.

An honorable person would not have anything to do with him.

Period.

12. from a Texas family dated to 1820
Bush is NOT A TEXAN. My family, (the Bavoux's) settled Galveston in 1820, which was given to us for BRAVERY in Napoleons war. (SRT chapter 32.) MY OPINION, your are not a TRUE TEXAN unless you have 1. had ancestors who spilled blood during the Texas Revolution, or 2. been here for at least a Generation. Bush would have run and hid in the OLD and LOST River during the Battle of San Jacinto. Can you say Carpet Bagger.
