One complaint often heard privately within law enforcement circles is that the Central Intelligence Agency over the years has morphed into a Liberal think tank rather than maintaining its role as a strategic and tactical intelligence agency ... :spray:

For instance, it was the CIA hierarchy who demanded a special prosecutor investigate the so-called Valerie Plame-CIA leak case ...

Jim Kouri, CPP is fifth vice-president of the National Association of Chiefs of Police and served in law enforcement for over 25 years ...

1. Like I've said before - at the end - there were 10 Algerian islamic
revolutionary terrorists sitting in the desert. And they took a vote and decided that all Algerians should die - except for the 10 of them. They decided they were the only true Algerians.

I think they're just pissed someone outed one of their own and blew a large operation for purely political reasons.

And if the CIA wants to get even, it's more than capable.

an idiotic thesis dressed in puerile prose. That's the point of :spray: (now relocated by edit for clarity)

I posted it because I've heard rumblings that the CIA would be dismantled, and when I saw this little piece it seemed to me that, in fact, the noise here might be intended to drum up rightwing hostility towards The Company.

Now, honestly, I've been known to express some hostility towards The Company myself, but the current Administration's abolition moves would probably do nothing more than make existing off-the-books, off-the-shelf dirty operations even more off-the-books, off-the-shelf -- in part by rendering inapplicable much existing law governing such operations ...
