60% still dispprove. That is dismal for this point in the administration.

His disaproval is higher than the stated 54%. 58-60% is more like it.

5. Did you ever think you'd see this headline?
Edges "up" to 38%? Remember his approval rating after 9/11? Only an idiot could screw up this badly.

6. What were the questions?
I have to admitt o laughing out loud at the inane and obvious questions used in some of the "Smirky" polls lately. When they want the boy kings numbers to be above single digits they ask questions like the following:

Do you approve of the President's job performance which included preventing a group of bearded, Middle Eastern looking guys from coming to your house Mr./Mrs(insert pollees name) to blow you, your family and your adorable little kittens to kingdom come?

Are you satisfied with GW Bush's job performance in light of the fact that no one has come to your house and stabbed you with a tightly rolled Qu'ran booklet sharpened to a very fine point?

11. 2 points does not an increase make. The margin of error is 3.5% so......
Basically he's statistically his approval is the same... not "increased".

Methodology: Telephone interviews with 1,503 American adults, conducted from Jan. 4 to Jan. 8, 2006. Margin of error is 3.5 per cent.
