Is it any wonder jobs don't recover with asshole corporations using tactics like this?

But as corporations are gearing up to bring tens of billions of dollars back to the United States this year, adding jobs is far from their highest priority. Indeed, some companies say they might end up cutting their work forces.

Hewlett-Packard, for example, which has accumulated $14 billion in foreign profits and lobbied intensively for the tax break, announced on Jan. 10 that it would continue to reduce its work force this year. That would come on top of more than 25,000 jobs that it eliminated during the previous three years.

It has to be earned, and in order to keep it, the people have to be willing to fight for it and if needed, to die for it.

We can talk all we want, but talking only works if the people that you're talking to are willing to listen. We know that the RW Christians don't want to listen, we know the Young College Republicans are just a small step from being the new Hitler Youth, we
know that most Republican politicians are only loyal to the party and
to Bush. And none of these groups are willing to listen to anything we have to say.

There is no such thing as a fair share of Democracy, all are entitled to an equal share, and that's what needs to be done.

4. yup, what is it going to take is really the question

Clearly we have a "new world order" that doesn't give a rats
ass what's good for nation states and run by multinational corporations and a select few.

Question is what is it going to take to force corporations to
have a conscience and social responsibility...

if anything.

HP, they are going down the tubes...it isn't surprising they
continue on the same ill advised path and use the tax break to
somehow cook their books to increase this years profits.

What kills me is they are a shining example on how great firing
Americans and using offshore outsourcing works..

their quality went from legendary to shit and they are losing money
with that ill advised Compaq debacle merger which only served
to give Carly Fiorina a huge bonus due to a merger.

It's all disgusting and even from a sociopathic pure profit mentality..
is just plain stupid management...which makes me wonder if these
CEO's really are that stupid or is there some other motivation going on?
