June new jobs of 146 includes 184 of new pretend jobs - media says nothing

23066000 new jobs under Clinton with 273000 "pretend" jobs in that total, but 1053000 jobs under Bush include 2689000 pretend!

Yes, Clinton too had pretend jobs in his total – all of 273,000 new work at home not yet on the payroll tax jobs.

But the 273000 new pretend work at home not paying payroll taxes yet jobs were only 1.18% of the jobs growth under Clinton. Bush ‘s pretend new jobs of 2689000 EXCEEDS his TOTAL new jobs of 1053000 since Jan 2001 – Bush has lost 1,646,000 jobs since Jan 1, 2001 without that adjustment.

I repeat, Without the 2689000 pretend jobs at home not paying payroll tax yet jobs (“pretend” means the “BIRTH DEATH adjustment” that is never checked or bench-marked to anything other than a curve fitting of "expectations"), BUSH HAS LOST 1,646,000 JOBS SINCE JAN 1 2001.

So it looks like Bush is still negative as to job growth - and people wonder why the folks are discouraged and leaving the work force in such numbers that the unemployment rate goes down. And other folks wonder why our media says nothing other than repeating the Bush line that we are NOW -finally -in an economic expansion (which is true but only part of the story).

BTW: The the WTO has put up absolute fiction claiming outsourcing
and "insourcing by way of abusing US VISA system" doesn't hurt Americans.

This to me is a propaganda prelude so our immigration policy and offshore outsourcing is taken away from US congressional control and into WTO's GATS, mode 4. i.e. any attempts to control our immigration policy or workers policy could then be challenged as a "barrier to trade".

Perhaps meaningless as to the US's economic health is the "great" 5% UE rate and all those pretend new jobs that are stay at home folks that year after year are just not getting around to paying a payroll tax (otherwise we would not have to add them back - them being all prior increases in the pretend birth/death number - each month to the payroll tax numbers - and of course without the growth in the pretend folks that year after year never pay that payroll tax, Bush does not have ANY job growth - and remove new gov jobs under Bush and the private sector is in a hell of a recession - but we will not talk about that).

Perhaps better as a measure of economic health is that old labor demand measure of total hours worked in the economy . While employment is "above" its pre-recession peak, total hours worked is still 1.4 percent below its pre-recession peak

6. I only follow labor participation rates.

Labor force participation rates tell a radically different story about the current employment situation. While it is true that America's demographics have shifted so that there are more retirees as a percent of the population, this represents only a fraction of the large gap in the labor force participation rate which has opened up over the last five years. Overall participation levels have declined each of the last five years and are now at their lowest levels since the reagen era. Men's participations rates are at their lowest levels in history. But truthfully it is teenagers who have taken the brunt of the job shortages. Their participation rate has dropped from the low 50's to low 40's in in only a few short years (the lowest level in 40 years for teenagers.) For every 4 teenagers employed 5 years ago, today their are only 3. The participation rate drop may have stabilized over the last 6 months but it is really too soon to tell.
