The media claims that the economy grew at a rate of 3.4% in 2Q.
Now what was the inflation rate for the second quarter (2Q)?

1. Maybe it's all new homes and condos
Because a lot of businesses around here are shutting their doors permanently.

2. The number reported today
was with inflation factored in.

They never quote nominal GDP in the press or the financial industry. It's always the Real GDP number.

Bloomberg has a good analysis at http://quote.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=10000006&sid=aJkcA9dxrV8Q&refer=home
