Nursing home to lock out workers in Hamden (CT)
HAMDEN, CT. (AP) - Workers at a Hamden nursing home say they could be on the picket line early tomorrow morning in a dispute over a new contract.

Members of the New England Health Care Employees Union, District 1199, at Arden House rejected an offer by Harborside Healthcare.

The union says the contract terms are substandard, but the 260 workers would be willing to report to work tomorrow morning as negotiators continue to bargain.

The union says issues in the dispute are the cost of health insurance and tuition reimbursement. The union says a picket line will go up if the company locks out workers. <snip>
