Hightower's laissez-fairyland should be made into the modern day equivalent of a Grimm's fairy tale. That way our grand children's children won't forget what caused our collapse.

1. the fairy tails were about the hard times when people took their kids out and left them in the woods

or children frequently were kidnapped and eaten by starving people.. it wasn't uncommon to decide which child would be kept and the others taken out and left in the woods cause there was only enough food for one to survive... and we are pretty close to that again if the ReThuglicans win again.. they want to destroy civilization so that their "Utopia" can rise out of the ashes.

I used to live in Laissez-Fairyland. :)

Article is spot on, especially on how Wall Street is trying to blow this off and blame it on the people who took out these loans. Throughout history (even back to Biblical history), banks have been proven to be about the nastiest things to people. Why? Because he who has the gold, makes the rules, so in this case the de-regulation actions allowed banks to hide all of the technical detail away from the borrower. Now that those bad business decisions has taken effect, they ask for a handout because "bad things may happen" if nothing else is done.

Oh, and Pelosi's face should be up there as well. I still can't believe how many times she has sided with Bush. :grr:
