5. Workers will end up on the hamster wheel of constantly training for skills
of the day. Once you master a set of skills and your industry standardizes the procedures, they'll be outsourced to be done on the cheap. Then you get to start all over again. Helps innovation, but at what cost to the working class and the US economy as a whole?

8. Bush is for sending jobs overseas. In a report by an Inidan
newspaper several months ago, Bush promised to stop and state or federal laws that will stop the jobs going overseas to India. He promised that to the Indian companies that are currently in the US with Indian workers. I don't think any laws have been passed anywhere yet.

US gives India assurance on outsourcing
CHIDANAND RAJGHATTA
TIMES NEWS NETWORK< SATURDAY, JUNE 14, 2003 10:01:26 AM >

WASHINGTON: The Indian government and businesses have won a major assurance from the Bush Administration on the issue of outsourcing.

A senior US official has said Washington is against any attempt by state governments to legislate a ban on outsourcing on the lines of what is being considered in New Jersey and other states.

The official, US Trade Representative Robert Zoellick, gave this assurance in course of three hours of intensive talks with Indian Commerce Minister Arun Jaitley, during which they discussed subjects ranging from the movement of people to the export of Indian mangoes to the US.

Snip ......

But the controversial issue of outsourcing was clearly on top of the pile and Jaitley said he had explained that the public and political opinion in India regards the move by some US states as "completely contrary to the spirit of market access and creates an adverse environment when negotiations were on in various other sectors."

Snip ......

9. Outsourcing required for profit
Outsourcing is a great way for a company to cut costs. Cutting costs is needed to increase profit. Increased profits are the only way to get the stock price up. A higher stock market is all the top 10% care about. Bush serves the top 10%. When most of the bottom 90% understand this we'll have regime change.

10. As long as they can find consumers overseas too, I guess we're out
of luck.
