Paying for the recession
Been asking around and what I hear is that the rich upper circles are floating the idea of a $4 gallon gasoline tax to pay for the recession.

1. And I thought the 4 dollar a gallon gas we bought was to pay for
the war/occupation/mistake in Iraq.

2. Link?
Otherwise, for all I know, they could be making hot air balloons by filling condoms with helium and lighting a match...

4. Why is industry more important than service?
What was the size of the industrial sector in the US in 1930 (by GDP) and what is it today?

5. Couple that with a rise in gas prices and you will cripple the working
family. They could hardly afford to drive to work when gas was $4 a gal.

6. And guess what they want
they don't want the poor people to drive at all. Remember Obama was against lifting the .18 gas tax this past spring. Pelosi wants at least $5/ gal gas as well as all the other alternative energy people. Don't forget, she uses about 500,000 gallons a year flying back and forth to CA. Some somebody has to make up the difference besides the peasants in India pedaling water out of wells for their consumption to make up for the offsets. Its is hard for those people to feign excitement about low gas prices when they want the price of gas to go through the roof. People first !
