Stimulus Funds Offshore Outsourcing! US Tech Workers/Companies Denied!
You can't make this stuff up folks.

Congressional Democrats stripped from President Barack Obama's economic stimulus plan a local lawmaker's bid to assure that American high-tech companies would get jobs funded by that plan.

U.S. Rep. Tim Murphy, R-Upper St. Clair, said his amendment would have required that any health information technology system bought under a $20 billion grant program in the stimulus package be manufactured in the United States by American workers.

Firstly why would not Democrats, supposed interested in creating jobs, be putting in these provisions using US taxpayer money?

But secondly, why would they strip out such a common sense requirement in a bill that is supposed to create American jobs for American workers with American money?

1 million IT jobs? Yeah sure...for the Indian offshore outsourcing industry!

2. please folks do this
Medicaid/Medicare already use massive offshore outsourcing, subcontractors and guest workers.

I'm sorry this is not a stimulus for US workers by any stretch by not demanding the money go to US companies and US workers. This is public money and borrowed to boot!

5. Harry Reid plus your Sentor, White house
and anywhere else you can scream bloody murder. I watch on precisely these issues, wrote up two blog posts on the Stimulus and this one snuck right past me until today!

I am just like WTF you want to use public funds, government expenditures claiming to stimulate the domestic economy, create jobs for Americans, U.S. citizens and you are enabling the biggest government contract and subcontract bonanza for Offshore outsourcing firms in the history of the United States.

7. it really doesn't
and it's so friggin' stuck on stupid, I have never seen such stuck on stupid in my life. What do they not get about government expenditures recirculating in a domestic economy or that offshore outsourcing/insourcing is one of the reasons we are in this labor wage repression, eroding middle class in the first place?
