Necessary Currency Manipulation Petition: Please Sign

The Coalition for a Prosperous America is ramping up efforts to put pressure on lawmakers to co-sponsor the extremely important Currency Reform for Fair Trade Act of 2009.

Reps. Tim Ryan (D-OH) and Tim Murphy (R-PA) along with Sens. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) and Jim Bunning (R-KY) are planning to introduce legislation that would define currency manipulation as an illegal trade distorting subsidy and would provide U.S. lawmakers with the tools to redress the practice.

Past versions of the bill garnered as many as 180 co-sponsors in the House and over a dozen in the Senate. The more co-sponsors, the more likely the legislation is to pass.

That is why the Coalition for a Prosperous America has started a petition drive urging lawmakers to co-sponsor the legislation. Currently, the petition has 166 signatures and needs more.
