Krugman: "Peacocking the Freeze"
the fact that anyone thought such a dumb policy idea was politically smart is bad news because it’s an indication of the extent to which we’re failing to come to grips with our economic and fiscal problems.

2. There is a very simple solution to solving our budget deficit problems.
It's do away with the Reagan tax cuts for the uber wealthy and get out of the numerous wars we keep dumping money into.

Problem solved.

But we dare not go there....I'm surprised Krugman didn't mention these obvious solutions.

But no one, especially the RepubliCONS, want to really solve the budget deficit because then there would be no excuse for fully funding the social programs Americans want and need.
