their roles in economic politics?

Prime Minister Viktor Orban, whose center-right Fidesz party swept into power in April, has spurned warnings that Hungary could face market pressure and currency weakness without support from international lenders.

Orban, whose party holds a more than two-thirds majority in parliament, has pledged to end the belt-tightening pursued by the previous Socialist government.

Aren't socialists the one's who are supposed to be against austerity and center-right and rightwingers against spending. They seem to be confused over there. :)

1. Europe has a much better grasp on the ideological scale than we have over here
It's not so black and white all the time there, whereas here, everything comes down to left and right on every single thing.
