Imagine a person named "Fie Beta Kappa" (henceforth to be abbreviated as "Fie"), who, when the individual was an adult male and had already received acceptance from the admissions department of some school, but had not yet graduated from that school, initiated a series of mutually agreed-upon meetings with a woman who was good at gelato.

I suspect that few people are bold enough to openly admit on a public forum an inability to comprehend at least one connection between, on the one hand, such meetings and on the other hand, unemployment or inflation in America.

However, I know that I am fallible. For example, perhaps an individual who is now obscurely lurking will be motivated to soon register as a new member of DU specifically to exhibit such boldness. Time shall tell. Perhaps you are already a DU member and you are merely ignorant of some false system of economic ideas that I accept and that supports my misplaced confidence in the view that there exists a connection between or among Fie's meetings, unemployment, and inflation. In any case, I encourage you to post in this thread.

I admit that there may be more monetary utility in other alternative investments of your time, but the Democratic Underground community as a whole could be strengthened in wisdom if you will be so kind as to reinforce what might be theoretically a mistake but is in practice simply common sense and general knowledge that we have neither the time nor the inclination to doubt: that the GUI triplet (Gelato, Unemployment, and Inflation) consists of related topics.
