The Dick Armey/Tea Party Express group is dumb as shit, likewise the FOX news/Tea Party Patriots, dumb as you describe. The RP guys, not so dumb, at least on this subject. They want to audit the hell out of it, blow the doors open for outside review/observation, and ultimately, kill it.

They also want to turn the clock back some 70 years and do the gold standard thing, or some quasi-gold-standard peg of the dollar to gold, so maybe not SUPER smart, but ... fiendishly clever, again, perhaps limited to this topic.

You would think this would be good for young people just starting out. But I'm not so sure because our manufacturing base is in China.

BTW, this FED move, when it causes inflation, will be a very regressive "tax" on all Americans. Finally, we know how WE will be paying for the failed Bush presidency. Sadly, those that are responsible for Bush and those who benefited from Bush, won't be hit as hard by this regressive "tax."
