so not only did Calpers invest in dodgy assets, but were bribed to do so???
And most certainly they cannot have been the only pension fund that was bribed.

1. Fines?

How about prison sentences. My company requires me to fill out a form every year disclosing any gifts and any potential conflicts of interest which I may have. I am just a low level engineer. Why does it seem the higher you move up the food chain, the more common sense is lacking (or you do know it is wrong but you are entitled).
