Most of you know I work in a lab. My primary vendors never, ever, hit me with a shipping charge because we order from the on a regular basis. Today I got a big shipment in and added on to the bottom line was a 3% fuel surcharge. I can't wait to explain this one to my group at the staff meeting tomorrow. They are already pissed off at how much we are spending.

Fuel prices are 30-40% higher and they are a component of everything purchased.

Just like when thier taxes get raised, or even when they don't get cut, they pass it on to those who can ill afford to pay it. The ones who work for them.
