IFAW-International Fund for Animal Welfare

I saw a commercial of theirs and it really got to me. I have a soft place in my heart for animals, so I went to their website to check it out and was impressed. I called the 1-800 number to donate $5/month. The guy told me the average donation is $7, so I just decided to give $10/month. It is tax deductible, but the main thing is the good work they do.

So, check it out and see if it is an organization you would like to donate too. A lot of organizations really push a minimum donation amount, usually higher than $20/month. I liked that I wasn't pressured and told a few dollars a month would be great.

Was one of the few groups that really got involved in this past season's harp seal slaughter in Canada. Most of the others let it pass with minimal interest.
