1. I always found the "cyclical" argument lacking in merit.

Maybe global warming is more of a cyclical problem, maybe it isn't. The fact of the matter is that if we don't do what we can to mitigate the problem - whatever it might be that really causes it - we're in for a world of hurt. Do we really roll the dice on a maybe and do nothing in the meantime when the stakes are so high?

2. It will take a very cold winter..

to figure out, what carbon heavy air causes.
Hot or cold.

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
