It's Been A Tough Day For America's Wildlife!!!

First, the Bush/Cheney Administration denied important protections for polar bears (see below). And then, they finalized new Endangered Species Act (ESA) regulations that cut huge holes in the safety net that protects wolves, polar bears and other animals and plants in danger of becoming extinct.

Defenders of Wildlife isn’t taking any of this lying down. We're calling on the Obama Administration to overturn these harmful ESA regulations and are filing a legal challenge TODAY to the Bush/Cheney assault on the Endangered Species Act and the wolves, polar bears and other wildlife the law protects.

These will be tough fights, and we will need your help in the days ahead to win them.

1. Sometimes I wish deer were extinct or at least

reduced in number by about 90%. They are worse than rats every winter it's a battle to keep them out of my yard.
