Toyota suspends completion of Mississippi Prius plant
http://www.freep.com/article/20081215/BUSINESS01/81215046

"“This likely means that start of production will be delayed,” Toyota said in a statement. “Due to the uncertainty of the market, it is impossible to say at this time when production will begin.”"

But I was assured by fellow DU'ers that the market crash wouldn't effect the push towards alternative energy technology :sarcasm:

4. It was going to be a truck plant at first
They decided to switch to prius earlier this year when truck sales dropped like a rock.
