Free SUV Offered As Solar Investment Incentive
Err, what?

Solutions 4 Solar Finance (S4SF), a boutique finance firm located in Crestline, Calif., is offering an unusual incentive to attract potential high-end investors for its solar leases: a free Lexus 400h AWD luxury hybrid SUV.

"We decided that we needed to offer a huge incentive to increase awareness of our fantastic investment opportunity," says Jeff Donahue, co-chairman of S4SF. "We are offering the most outrageous incentive that we can. Investors get a great return on investment plus a free luxury hybrid. We are offering the same return on investment as previous and then adding the hybrid on top of this for a limited time."

1. That's like celebrating a weight loss goal with a slice of cheesecake.
But it is a hybrid -- and low fat cheesecake still has the same amount of sugar.

2. Okay, that's like marrying someone and getting a free jar of herpes on the side
"Good grief" indeed, that incentive makes no sense.

Neither does funeral parlors wishing troops well or casket manufacturers wishing people wouldn't drink and drive, but both those types use irony to make their points too. Whatever they are, color me confused. It's a lovely shade of puce.
