made off with all the loot, and instituted a nascent police state which only requires the smallest peasant uprising to trigger brutal totalitarian coutnermeasures?

Why, to thin the herd of unruly and fractuous peasants who have forgotten who our Masters really ARE.

All I am saying is that the idea of "thinning the herd" while amusing in a dark humor sort of way, is very likely what the Global Aristocratic Bushie Elite are preparing for us with this Greater Depression.

Then, at the end of it, perhaps a Great War so that we peasants expend our energies fighting other peasants, instead of our real enemies.

Cynical interpretation? Yes.

Hopefully it's not so, but I used to believe such things were NONSENSE and IMPOSSIBLE. After 8 years in Orwell-land, I am not so sure anymore. Not even close.

4. That's what I always think when I hear someone here who says
"but deer are overpopulated" or "there are way too many coyotes". Um, have they BEEN on a freeway lately?

7. wow
I hadn't gotten to my comics yet.
I just cut it out and stuck it on the fridge though. Maybe it'll catch the eye of my baby-expecting in-laws next time they come over (yes, I deal with them passive-aggressively, so what, there's no educating these people)
