I haven't read it yet, but I've been told that Riki Ott's book, Not One Drop: Betrayal and Courage In the Wake of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill, is a very excellent account of the lingering effects the spill has had on Prince William Sound. You can read about it here:

Redoubt have not been emptied. For some inexplicable reason, we are not being informed, purportedly for "national security" reasons, which makes no sense at all.
