who died a few days ago at the age of 100. Sometimes referred to as the "Darwin of the 20th Century" he started his career in 1923 surveying birds in the then very dangerous mountains of New Guinea.

In these dark days when the forces of ignorance seek to trash all that he worked for it would be well to remember his words. I heartily suggest "What Evolution Is" to any and all.
