2. Oh, I can believe it.
The Chimperor won't do anything the rest of the world wants or needs -- just so those other third-rate loser countries know who's really in charge.

3. As I understand it, Clinton signed the treaty, but the obstructionist
Congress did not ratify it. Of course Bush would have no part in it. Cut profits to save the world, are you kidding?

7. IIRC no Senator voted for ratification
The senate was never given a chance to vote on later versions of the treaty.

13. Did Clinton really sign it? Senate voted it down 95-0!
I can't recall if he did, but apparently other posters do...I just want to make sure, everyone here KNOWS Clinton signed, it is not just that you THINK he signed it...thanks.

14. Clinton signed it. Senate never voted on it.
The so-called 95-0 vote against Kyoto, the Byrd-Hagel Resolution, was a non-binding vote taken 6 months BEFORE the Kyoto meetings.

6. His lack of concern and his ignorance is chilling!
Why save the planet when he's hell-bent to destroy it? He is such a slimebag...and a HUGE embarrassment to this country! He'll have a legacy alright!

8. Flawed Treaty
2012 Should be interesting.
Looks to me like many countries havn't made any real effort to comply with the treaty.

10. Don't laugh
There's a large percentage of the population (including the people who are running our government) who truly do believe this way. If it's not "Why bother saving the environment, Da Lawd's going to come back any day now?", it's "Well, in Genesis Gawd gave Man dominion over all the beasts and the land, so we can do whatever we want."

Even more insidious are those who are trying to spur the Apocalypse by interventions in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

12. How long will that take
. . . do you think? And perhaps a visit should precede a move there, just to check things out.
