Did EESTOR miss another deadline? Signs are pointing to "yes"
"Is it officially time to give up on EESTOR? Technically, we have 12 months to wait and see if Ian Clifford, the CEO of Zenn Motors, comes through on his promise to demonstrate the semi-magical-sounding energy storage unit in 2010. But silence from company that is partnering with EESTOR on the quick-charging ultracapacitor is lighting up the discussion boards over at EESTORY. It's not like the companies have a stellar track record of meeting deadlines."

Zenn has given up making cars entirely and bet the farm on eEstor technology:

"The next few months will prove decisive for Zenn Motor Company Inc., as it stops production of low-speed vehicles at its Quebec plant to concentrate on bringing a revolutionary energy storage
technology to market. The Toronto-based company said Monday its Zenn LSV 2010 model will be the final version of the electric car produced, as it turns its attention to the ZENNergy drive solutions product.
The company said the product will be powered by Texas-based EEStor Inc.'s electrical energy storage units, which capture electricity in a capacitor, a cyclindrical electrical device."

1. The phrase "credibility deficit" comes to mind.

2. I've given up on them
starting to look like a scam to me. I do think that capacitors can play a roll in EV's along with the batteries. So many new developments on batteries that it has to give anyone who's paying any attention at all some hope.
I seem to remember some toy cars that were powered by capacitors that impressed me that those capacitors held as much charge as they did.

3. Promises, promises...
But nothing to show for it. I'm not very hopeful about them these days.
