Chinese manufacturer of silicon ingots, wafers and photovoltaic (PV) cells and modules today announced its intentions to pursue a great share of the American solar power market.

The company said that it expects to ship 30-50 MW of product to the U.S. in the second half of 2010 and that in 2011, it plans to more than double U.S. shipments – increasing total product shipped to 100-150 MW. Solarfun has expanded its U.S. presence already by adding more marketing and customer support personnel to its North American operations.
