‘God won’t allow global warming,’ congressman seeking to head Energy Committee says (Shimkus)
...
"I believe that's the infallible word of God, and that's the way it's going to be for his creation," he added. "The Earth will end only when God declares it's time to be over. Man will not destroy this Earth. This Earth will not be destroyed by a Flood. I do believe that God's word is infallible, unchanging, perfect."

He also said the cap and trade legislation, which he says is the "largest assault on democracy and freedom in this country that I've ever experienced," would hurt plant life by reducing the amount of carbon dioxide in the air.

"It's plant food," Shimkus said. "So if we decrease the use of carbon dioxide, are we not taking away plant food from the atmosphere?… So all our good intentions could be for naught. In fact, we could be doing just the opposite of what the people who want to save the world are saying."
...more, if you can risk the :puke:...

3. Can these fools get anything right?
Has anyone said that Global Warming will destroy the earth and wipe out humanity? They should at least have some clue as to what the actual issue is.

5. Science escapes the dude.....what a pathetic asshole for a very important position
He needs a refresher course in CO2ology. and our current ambient readings compared to 50 years ago....100 years ago.....

It doesn't take a rocketr scientist to see a valid correlation to our currenr climate changes that are ongoing..

We are fuckin up...on something this series....

We need more than "ifs" from Shimkus...we need facts,,,,,

6. Depressing
Bullshit is the plant food his testimony brings to mind, not CO2.

9. Shimkus needs to read his Bible
Genesis Chapter 9:21-22

"Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done.

"As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease."

It's pretty clear, God didn't guarantee that man would survive, God just said that he wouldn't "destroy all living creatures", that in no way means that he won't destroy some, just not all.

See how many out of the 5 questions he answers truthfully and/or correctly.

Take the true or false quiz that pits your knowledge of climate change against public officials, media personalities, and political hacks. See if you can tell who's "Got Science" versus who's spreading propaganda that's "Not Science" about global warming. Complete the quiz and we'll send you a free "Got Science?" sticker.
