USA should only subsidize residential and business rooftops providing solar for those locations.... |
|
because it is OUR sun, not one that belongs to our international corporate enemies. Each residence and business should generate its own solar for direct consumption and sell off excess to the grid. Power companies would love to keep us all castrated and the government should not be helping them.

1. It may be "our sun" but it is "their technology" that allows us to harvest |
|
the energy and convert it into something usable.
Unless I misunderstood you...
On the other hand, is it even possible without totally going off grid to NOT net-meter back into the system? Not referring to usage credits (lord knows thats going to be a long time coming) - just the physical setup.

2. California is working on both, Feed In Tarriff to sell to the grid and ability to offset other meter |
|
to credit other meters (for example by a school district installation to remote school sites).
It just needs more incentive funding and for the utility grid to grow to accept the new paradigm.
