GOP candidates line up against Yucca Mountain
Of course, all of them support nuclear power, but they want a "free market" solution to the nuclear waste problem.

2. If the public were left to the tender mercies of the free market
nuclear waste would be dumped where it would eliminate the 'surplus population' (apologies to Charles Dickens), i.e., impoverished neighborhoods.

The people hiding behind the corporate shield making those really bad decisions american corps are about to have a rude awakening. I just hope they get what is coming to them.

4. I happened to pass by CNN when this question was asked....
The answers are SO ridiculously stupid they could have saved time and just answered, "unicorns". Whether you're pro or con on nuclear energy, these people cannot be trusted with ANY input in the policy process.

5. The "bidding" process would dump the radioactive waste on Indian reservations
Corrupt politicians and capitalists would ensure that the population of the dumped-on state does not have any democratic power in the process.
