Party of Pollution (Krugman)
Last month President Obama finally unveiled a serious economic stimulus plan — far short of what I’d like to see, but a step in the right direction. Republicans, predictably, have blocked it. But the new plan, combined with the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations, seems to have shifted the national conversation. We are, suddenly, focused on what we should have been talking about all along: jobs.

So what is the G.O.P. jobs plan? The answer, in large part, is to allow more pollution. So what you need to know is that weakening environmental regulations would do little to create jobs and would make us both poorer and sicker.

1.  GOP job plan
I find it hard to believe that so many people support the Republicans. I've atarted to think that maybe pollution has become so bad that it has affected people's thought processes. The GOP may believe as a backup plan to their election fixing, they shouldallow more pollution, causing more brain damage, thus increasing their voter base:o)

2. I question how their numbers are determined.
If e-voting is privately owned along with the media and everything else, how are we to trust numbers?

I think the GOP would have been very hard pressed to fill a stadium as Obama did simply because the
numbers AREN'T there.

3. Everyone needs to read the entire article at the link. It is really important
for our health and for our future.

We cannot afford a Republican administration right now. The health risks to all of us that the climate-change-deniers and the no-pollution-is-too-much crowd want us to face are just too awful.
