Please sign White House petition to have Obama admin test the Rossi Energy Catalizer (E-cat)
The E-cat, a LENR, low energy nuclear reaction device utilizes a formula to use fusion to combine hydrogen and nickel to create thermal energy. It appears to be able to create energy in an efficient manor with no radioactive waste or green house gas emissions.

Please sign this White House petition to have the Obama administration test out the E-cat system:

I've been following E-cat for about a year now with guarded optimism. The Royal Academy of Science in Sweden is preparing to have a conference on Nov 23rd to discuss cold and hot fusion and the events surrounding the Bologna tests of the E-cat in October:

...."An intensive discussion on the net have questioned the experiment in Bologna mainly because it can not be explained by the established nuclear physics theory. It has also been speculated that the derivative produced heat energy must have been greatly overestimated mainly by an overestimation of the buildup of steam. At the lecture, these issues will be treated in order to gain a better understanding of the experiment in Bologna."

4. Series?
How about these grifters publish their research in a peer reviewed scientific publication? Huh?

6. Bingo. Or have it tested by someone who's not anonymous and under their control.
Either would be awesome.

7. No, I won't
Look, they may be on to something, but public petitions to the White House isn't the way to move these ideas forward. Any credible experiment that can be properly documented should have no problem getting the necessary funding to repeat/expand the experiment.

Quite honestly, if they are right in any extent in what they think they've found, the simple act of designing the experiment in such a way that it can be repeatably conducted by other actors would win them a Nobel prize. There are plenty of people INSIDE existing scientific community who would JUMP on the chance to be part of any such experiment.

We don't need to politicize the scientific process anymore than it already is.

8. Why?
There's never been a credible test of the system that showed it putting out more power over time than was put in.

Using the same test rules, I can make a car battery look like a perpetual motion machine.

If it really works, all they have to do is set one up somewhere and let everyone watch it generate power. It's not like everyone in the world isn't panting for something like this.
