Video proof of what we knew all along....
Hummers Suck. Even at what they're supposed to be good at. Interesting, the one in the second section appears to be an H1, which I thought were military hardware.

3. It shows three separate pieces of footage...
The first is an H2 bottoming out on a river-bed. The second (the best one) is what I think is an H1 totally failing to climb a hill, while in the background a couple jeeps are just going up and down the hill. Then the Hummer gives up, and the jeeps easily climb the exact same route that the hummer failed on. The last one is in a car-dealer's lot, where some gomer flips an H2 on one of those display-ramps that's supposed to show off how manly and off-road it is.

It's worth catching, if you can find a good connection.

12. Rural NZ
and it doesn't get much more rural than that :) Theoretically it's a broadband connection, but NZ's links to the rest of the world aren't exactly awesome :(

4. Priceless!
I guess we always knew that Hummers suck. It's comforting to know that we were correct.

6. Of course the vehicles that make it are equally disturbing.
What is the point of wearing holes in the desert?

9. None, but that sort of thing is big recreation out here.
It's bad for the environment. The state tries to confine it to certain places, to limit the damage. I'm not really familiar with how well that works, although my assumption is not as well as they'd like.

7. "they're supposed to be good at"
What could they possibly be good at other than burn a lot of gas?

8. Gave my first Hummer salute last week!
I live in Nova Scotia, where the damn things just haven't taken hold--not with gas hovering around $1.13/litre. But last week some dimbulb passed my '94 Escort on the highway in his new H2 with lots of roof lights and all the other silly crap. Gave him the old crooked pinky salute--HIGHLY satisfying.
