If you guessed Tom Daschle, you guessed right. It seems that the senior senator from South Dakota has developed a backbone (Ok maybe not). Nevertheless, his recent Senate speech on the state of science in the US was a breath of fresh air. I'm looking for full text and will post when I can find it.
