It's about Telsa and Zero Point Energy. It's two hours and 51 mins. I watched before I posted it here. I'm not into electricity but it's the lifetime work of the guy giving the lecture. It's very interesting.

2. It's worth watching the whole thing. It's really very very interesting
Even exciting if it's real. It's about ether. It's not boring at all.

4. This is very important. Do we have any scientists on DU!
If this is true it will change the world. I hope somebody smart here watches this. It's not the most downloaded for nothing.

5. Speaking as a scientist...
the most tantalizing claims about Tesla have never been duplicated. As a scientist, I see that as an indication that most of the tantalizing claims are more legend than fact.

Science is based, among other things, on reproducible results. When people make claims that sound too good to be true, and a century of electrical engineers cannot duplicate these claims, I'm more or less forced to conclude that the stories were too good to be true.

I think this is a popular video because Tesla was a very entertaining character, and all the legends surrounding his feats are equally entertaining. And, I think people want to believe that there is a magic bullet that will come to our rescue.

6. The world will change with or without it.

Other than spaceflight, the only difference between a device that harnesses a heretofore unknown source of energy and one that harnesses a know source of energy (sunlight, wind, etc) and stores it for later use is where the energy comes from. That's an academic difference when viewed from the point of the individual consumer.

So although I keep an open mind I don't think such a source would change much in the short term.
