S. Australia Premier - CSIRO Climate Impact Study "Terrifying" - Fox AU
THE future impact of climate change on South Australia is "terrifying", Premier Mike Rann said today. Mr Rann today released a CSIRO-commissioned report that found the state's temperature had risen by 1.14 degrees from 1910 to 2005.

The report warned of further accelerating temperatures and lower rainfall, which would impact on the state's agriculture industry and water supply by the ned of the century.

Mr Rann said the report "underpins the menance, the peril that's facing us in terms of global warming". "No nation in the world will be more affected by global warming than Australia," he said.

Mr Rann released the report on the same day the state brought forward fire restrictions for the first time in history and urged early preparaton for the bushfire season.

1. If we don't prepare, we will have crop failure and famine.
We will have water shortages.

George is siphoning every dollar into his friends' pockets and NOTHING is being set aside to redo our agriculture, protect and replant our forests, everything that needs to be done before we are overwhelmed by the rapidly approaching climate crisis.

For the first time in my life, I am glad I don't have children. For the first time in my life, I pity those who do.

2. Check out airwater.com...
They are located in Australia.

Interesting company that basically converted a de-humidifier into a water capturing device. for about $1000 American, you can get one that will supply you with about 7 gallons of water a day.

I live in the states and I'm thinking of getting one.

Only draw back you have to have at least 35% humidity in order for it to work properly.

4. Nonelectric solar stills are available also, IIRC. Be sure to get a
solar panel and battery pack to power your dehumidifier. Be part of the solution.

3. Wrong. EVEN IF we prepare, we will have crop failure and
famine. We WILL have water shortages. EVEN IF we prepare.

The situation is going to get far worse than most people can imagine.

5. We are creatures of the ice age.
The hot dry earth, the other stable phase of this planet's ecology, is going to be quite cruel to us.
