American Energy Technologies Commissions (236 kW) PV Array (NJ)
http://www.renewableenergyaccess.com/rea/news/story?id=46954

American Energy Technologies (AET) has installed a 236-kilowatt (kW) commercial photovoltaic (PV) array system for Capitol Lighting in Eatontown, NJ. It consists of 788 Schott 300 watt panels and two SatCon Power Systems inverters and is in compliance with the NJ Board of Public Utilities Clean Energy Program guidelines and incentives.

"This investment in solar electricity generating technology will stabilize our electric costs for years to come and soften the impact of rising costs on our business," said Eric Lebersfeld, Vice President of Operations for Capitol Lighting's chain of nine stores in NJ and Florida. The array on Capitol Lighting's retail location follows a year of successful generation at its 116 kW array completed by AET in May 2005.

According to Richard King, President of American Energy Technologies, "Businesses of all kinds are looking to gain some measure of control over their energy expenditures."

To date the NJ program has more than 1,800 installations, both home and commercial, forecast to generate more than 26,000 megawatt hours of clean, renewable electricity annually. This development follows a previously announced installation by AET on an office building in Millburn, NJ; that PV array is capable of generating 72 kW of electricity at peak production.
