The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality will delay voting on whether to grant TXU Corp. permission to build coal-fired power plants in Robertson County.
The state's environmental regulators were expected to consider the permit application for the Oak Grove site on Jan. 10. But the meeting agenda, published Wednesday, doesn't include the Oak Grove permit.
Last month, Commissioner Martin Hubert resigned, leaving only two commissioners. Chairwoman Kathleen White said in a recent meeting with The Dallas Morning News' editorial board that she prefers to make the TXU permit decisions with a full commission. Commissioners are appointed by the governor.
