I've just reworked my web site to focus on Peak Oil, specifically with reference to its place in the "Global Problematique". Critiques of format or content are solicited.

1. Font sizes overall look a bit large

plus, the font you're using on the headers, "maiandra gd"? is rendering pretty jaggedly on my system. It may be defaulting to another font if I don't have that one installed (I don't think I do).

Edit - correction, tha's a True Type font and it is installed here...

3. There are those here who might (and will) argue against this point:

"oil is the one truly indispensible (indispensable) commodity". I predict that "Cantarell" will become as well known a word to the US citizenry within the next three years as "Shiia" and "Sunni", followed by "Ghawar".

4. I know. They would be wrong.

I agree that Cantarell is going to go off like a bomb in the American consciousness. We're about to get a hard look at what "oil dependency" really means.

I've updated the fonts - back to boring old Helvetica, and the heders on the home page have been switched to Times. Would you take another look and let me know what you think?

5. Apologies, I steered you to the wrong area in question

The original "Problematique" header appeared ok, it was the large headers beneath, such as "Air, Water and Soil Pollution", that are rendering jaggedly. Looks like you're using 'Verdana' on these. Just in case it makes any difference, I'm on an XP-Pro sp2 machine, running Firefox.

If it were me, and it ain't, I would decrease all of the font sizes and lighten up the background gray to produce more contrast. That should make it stand out just as much without needing the large font sizes.
